Built from a genuine love of technology.
Hi, I’m Joe. I created Joe’s Tech as a place where I can combine the things I genuinely enjoy: computers, gaming, custom setups, design and helping people solve frustrating technology problems.
I’m not pretending this is a giant company. Everything here is built and maintained by me—from the wallpapers and guides to the website itself. I know what it feels like to search for a simple answer and find nothing but confusing instructions, ads or advice that does not match your setup. My goal is to make tech feel more approachable.
Joe’s Tech started with my own gaming setup and a habit of constantly improving it. That grew into creating wallpapers, testing performance settings, troubleshooting hardware and sharing what I learned. DATA TRANSFER & DRIVE MIGRATION
Move files or Windows safely.
Use the right workflow for a simple file copy, a Steam library move, or a full operating-system migration.
File-to-file transfer
Best when Windows is staying on the original drive. Copy Documents, Pictures, Videos and project folders, then verify the destination before deleting anything.
Steam library move
Add the new drive in Steam Storage, select installed games and use Move. This avoids redownloading supported titles.
Full drive clone
Use Macrium Reflect, Rescuezilla, Clonezilla or Hasleo Disk Clone when migrating Windows, applications and settings together.
Fresh installation
Best when the old Windows installation has corruption, clutter or driver problems. Back up files and license information first.
Safe migration checklist
- Back up irreplaceable files separately.
- Verify the destination drive has enough capacity.
- Check drive health before cloning.
- Disable BitLocker or save the recovery key.
- Clone or copy the data.
- Boot and verify the new drive.
- Keep the original drive untouched until everything is confirmed.
